Rodeo Austin awards scholarships to deserving students each year through partnering educational institutions. Scholarship Recipients are selected based on financial need, academic achievement and community involvement. Rodeo Austin establishes the selection criteria, then the partnering educational institutions make the specific student selections each year. To be considered for a Rodeo Austin Scholarship, you must be attending one of the partnering colleges or universities or have participated in 4-H or FFA programs.

Below are general instructions for how to apply for Rodeo Austin Scholarships at each institution. Please contact each institution’s financial aid department for specific questions on the application process. Additional questions can be directed to the Rodeo Austin Scholarship Department at 512-919-3000.

How to Apply

Students apply using the general scholarship application at www.austincc.edu/scholarships. Deadline is May 1. Open to incoming freshman who are pursuing a degree in any college/major. How to Apply

Students apply using the general scholarship application at http://www.shsu.edu/dept/financial-aid/scholarships/index.html. Deadline is February 1. Open to incoming freshman who are pursuing a degree in the College of Sciences, Department of Agricultural Sciences. For questions, contact the SHSU Financial Aid office at (936) 294-1774.

How to Apply

Students interested in applying for the scholarship should complete the Tarleton State University General Scholarship Application at http://www.tarleton.edu/scholarships/index.html. Deadline is February 15. Open to incoming freshman who are pursuing a degree in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences only. The scholarship application can be completed when submitting admissions application at www.applytexas.org. Deadline is December 1. Open to incoming freshman who are pursuing a degree in the College of Agriculture & Life Sciences only. The scholarship application will be completed at the county level, and more information can be obtained here: https://www.texasffa.org/scholarships. Deadline varies from county to county, so check the website for your specific county deadline. Open to incoming freshman who are pursuing any degree at any accredited Texas College or University. How to Apply

The application can be completed on the 4-H website at https://texas4hfoundation.org/types-of-scholarships/. Applications will be submitted at the county level, and then will be transferred to the state level for consideration for Rodeo Austin Scholarships. Deadline varies from county to county, so check the website for your specific county deadline. Open to incoming freshman who are pursuing any degree at any accredited Texas College or University. How to Apply

The scholarship application can be completed when submitting admissions application at www.applytexas.org. Applicants from this pool who meet initial eligibility are identified and invited to apply to the Rodeo Austin Scholarship by completing a supplemental leadership question. Deadline is December 15. Open to incoming freshman who are pursuing a degree in the Emmett & Miriam McCoy College of Business Administration only. The scholarship application can be completed when submitting admissions application at www.applytexas.org. Student will be asked/prompted to begin the scholarship application after completing the admissions application. Be sure to answer the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources specific questions that are part of the scholarship application. Deadline is February 1. Open to incoming freshman who are pursuing a degree in the College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources only.
